Throughout the year there are hundreds of different and exciting exhibitions in Canada. The exhibitions cover most industries such as aerospace, defence, tech and energy through to sports, fashion, pets and lifestyle. The majority of Canadian exhibitions are held in the major cities at dedicated halls, showgrounds and convention centres.

Exhibition Venues

Metro Toronto Convention Centre, Toronto
The MTCC features 442,000 square feet (41,000m2) of exhibit space, 77 meeting rooms, 2 multi-purpose ballrooms and a state-of-the-art 1232 seat theatre for performing arts and corporate events.

Palais Des Congres De Montreal, Montreal
The Palais Des Congres De Montreal has a total rental space of 508,756 square feet (47,260m2). The exhibition space is 396,785 square feet (36,860m2). This venue boasts 113 meeting spaces that can be rented.

Vancouver Convention Centre, Vancouver
The Vancouver Convention Centre has 53,000 square feet (4,900m2) to display exhibitions. Depending on the use of the space, it can hold between 3000-6000 guests. 

The International Centre, Toronto
The International Centre features 500,000 square feet (46,450m2) of Exhibition space, this includes six different halls that can be completely customised. The 48,000 square foot (4,450m2) Conference Centre provides the perfect space for show-related seminars and special events.

Toronto Congress Centre, Toronto
The Toronto Congress Centre features 300,000 square feet (27,870m2) of rentable exhibition space. The venue has 70 meeting rooms. The largest meeting space 192,525 square feet (17,880m2).

Edmonton EXPO Centre, Edmonton
The Edmonton EXPO Centre features an exhibition space which is 340,000 square feet (31,580m2). The venue has 34 meeting spaces, with the largest being 104,610 square feet (9,710m2). 

BMO Centre, Calgary
BMO Centre at Stampede Park features an exhibition space of 110,000 square feet (10,219m2). This great venue has 15 meeting spaces, the largest being 48,600 square feet (4,515m2).

Centre De Foires D’ExpoCité, Québec
The Centre De Foires D’ExpoCité located in Quebec City features 185,000 sq. ft. (17,187m2) of exhibition space. There are 16 meeting spaces to take advantage of. The largest meeting space is 62,603 square feet (5,810m2).

Enercare Centre, Toronto
The Enercare Centre boasts one of the largest exhibition spaces at 1,000,000 square feet (92,900m2). This venue houses 47 meeting rooms. The largest meeting room is 358,433 square feet (33,300m2). There is space outdoors which can be utilised as well. 

EY Centre, Ottowa
The EY Centre features 150,000 square feet (13,900m2) of Exhibition space. It has 8 meeting spaces, the largest being 40,000 square feet (3,700m2).

The first exhibition in Canada to kick off the Calendar year is the Interior Design Show – Toronto (IDS Toronto) which is held shortly after the New Year at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre, on the 19th January. This 4 day exhibition is a flagship event for interior design. 

This is quickly followed by an event which only occurs once every two years, the Eastern Canadian Fisheries Expo which is based in Yarmouth. This event is for anyone in the commercial fishing industry, showcasing all the new and innovative products on offer to promote more successful and sustainable fishing. 

Buildex Vancouver is a big construction event which takes place at the Vancouver Convention Centre annually in February. This event connects the holistic building industry and brings together industry leaders for learning, sourcing new technologies and networking opportunities.

March is when the mining exhibition, PDAC Convention, is put on. This is one of only a small handful of mining exhibitions in Canada held at The Metro Toronto Convention Centre. International suppliers and delegates utilise this event to network and exhibit new mining machinery, technology and solutions. 

During April, the AEROMART Montreal exhibition is held at the Palais Des Congres De Montreal. Exhibitors within the Aerospace industry, both domestic and International, come to showcase new innovations and advancements within the sector. 

The Global Energy Show is North America’s leading exhibition surrounding all things energy related. This event focuses on renewable energy solutions, efficient power generation and usage. This B2B event connects energy infrastructure developers, planners and researchers from all industries. The BMO Centre in Calgary has been the venue for this event for over a decade.

After taking a month off for the summer holidays, we’re right back in the thick of it in August. Kicking things off is the Oil Sands Trade Show & Conference hosted at MacDonald Island Park in Fort McMurray. The event brings professionals from all over Canada to meet the experts, share knowledge and see the latest innovations within the oil and sand industry. 

During September there are an array of different exhibitions, such as the Water & Recycling Expo Canada, which takes place at the International Convention Centre in Toronto. The event is a global attraction, pulling in over 2,000 guests and 200 companies displaying exhibition stands worldwide. 

SIQ  (Salon Industriel De Quebec) is the biggest industrial event hosted in East Canada. The exhibition is hosted at Centre De Foires D’ExpoCite in Quebec City. Every two years, the SIQ is the business meeting place to attend to meet contractors, distributors, suppliers, and subcontractors from all over the province. The event showcases over 500 companies for industry professionals to browse. The event has an impressive machine tool section, which is a highly anticipated part of the exhibition. 

During October the Expo Habitation D’Automne is exhibited at the Stade Olympique, Montreal. This exhibition displays everything you need to build, renovate and decorate a property. This is a huge event, bringing together a variety of industry experts, manufacturers and distributors. 

Towards the end of November the Advanced Design and Manufacturing Montreal takes place at Palais Des Congres De Montreal. This is one of the premier events in Canada, featuring  the latest technological advances in custom automation and assembly and more. Global leaders in the industry have exhibitions showcasing the latest developments in technologies to reduce time and cost in manufacturing.

These are a select few of the 200+ industry exhibitions that are held in Canada every year.
